Framework for Coordinating the National HIV and AIDS Response in the SADC Region

This document describes the coordination efforts needed for the national HIV and AIDS response in the SADC region. The overall purpose of the framework is to help member states to strengthen their national coordination of their HIV and AIDS response and thereby facilitate scaling up of interventions. The framework lays down guidelines for the formation and structure of the National Coordinating Authority. It describes the bigger picture of coordination and emphasizes the need for harmonisation of all sectors based on the principle of ”three ones”.
